Folks;
I've tried growing scallion the last two seasons with no luck.I live in zone seven. I don't have a clue as to what I'm doing wrong. I've tried planting bulps
by the dozen but only end up with two or three onions. How deep should
I plant them and what advise can you give me? Thank you in advance

Of course, they need plenty of sun. The soil is important, too. Deep, loose, fertile, friable soil works well for growing scallions. Mix in compost or rotted manure to your bed before you plant. Scallions will grow best in soils with a pH of 5.3 to 6. Keep the shallow root system moist, although it need not be wet.

Hope this helps.
