Can anyone tell me if ventless natural gas logs are legal in California? For supplimental heat for use with central. I'm thinking about sending a set to my parents.

They should be outlawed in every states.
They are too risky and lead to death with these ventless fireplace.
Yes, they will have a shut off if air is running out of Oxigen, but by that time, most if it is already gone.
They put shoots into the house, walls starts turning black, order in the house..
