I've recently hammered my first real nails, and have done some simple wood cutting with a jigsaw. I like it! I also have access to a drill, and the hand-held Dremel power tool that has several accessories such as a grinder, sander, polisher, etc. I'm an aspiring ceramics artist (tiles and wall-hanging mural/sculptures) and have also discovered Liquid Nails and spackling. I attach the tiles to wood and hang them on the wall-- a trick other artists use-- with Liquid Nails. Spackling is used to repair the clay after firing, if needed. I 'd like to make an easel (nothing fancy, just something sturdy) and a privacy screen (the kind where fabric or even decorative papers can be used). Can you help? Are these too advanced for me at this point? Thanks!

Since you're just beginning the post "FAQ / newbie resource" within this forum may be of help to you. A number of basic techniques are outlined, plus a few of the outlines include grapics. The active links lead to the links whose titles are below the active links.
Maybe you're ready to tackle an Artist's Easel, and maybe you're not. One way to find out is to follow the link below, and see if you understand the concept. (No doubt, at some point you will be ready, and at least you'll have a resource).
