I plan to buy a 30" gas range/oven in the near future, looking to spend between $400-$500 (probably a free standing one).

any tip or suggestion is appreciated. How much btu for the range should I get?

Welcome TruongKy to the Gas Appliances topic.

Difficult, if not impossible question to answer. Very subjective to personal opinions, etc. Appliance selection is just like any other product or service purchase. Boils down to personal choices and preferences, etc.

Within almost every price range there are several choices and selections, etc. Within each of these groups, each manufacturer offers features, quality, warranty and service claims they determine will sell their product.

Regardless of your personal choice, each product has to be selected by your individual selection process, needs and price range.

May be a good idea to read the consumers digest reports of the selected choices you have in mind. About the only method to obtain unbaised information. Also read the warranties provided by each manufacturer.
