Yellow Balau is a hardwood native to New Zeland used primarily in the U.S. for decking material. It is naturally resistant to fungi and insects and needs no treatment.
Kempas is a hardwood native to the Maylasian area. It is difficult to work either by hand or with machines. It's primary use is plywood cores, heavy construction and railroad ties.Uable trunks of Kempas have been measured as 180 feet in length with diameters up to 6 feet.
