I know it's a no-no to burn poison ivy. Yesterday I found one tiny stalk in my flower bed and pulled it up to bag and dispose of in the trach can.
In the meantime.....I ran to Walmart for more weedeater line. In an effort to assist, a family member finished weeding the flower bed and raked all of the debris into my burn pile...not aware of the 12 inch poison ivy stalk.
Now I'm potentialy looking at having to dig thru all of those weeds to find that one piece of ivy!
or will burning that one piece cause problems?

It will only cause problems for the person who is allergic to poison ivy and is standing in the smoke of the fire when that 12-inch stalk of poison ivy is burning.

I agree with CliffLm. My stepfather had a bad case of poison ivy in his lungs from inhaling a BUNCH of it while burning stuff. I really think you'll be ok with that small of an amount. Good luck!
