Hello Everyone,

Looking to find some information / deck plan for extending your patio/wood deck just for a BBQ Grill.

Im not sure how to explain it, but pretty much I live in a townhouse community with pre built decks. The home associations allows us to specially add an extension to our decks , just big enough to fit a bbq grill . This allows you to have a grill and still be able to use your full deck space. Unfortunately, they only provide us with specs on the max size that we can add an extension.

Im pretty handy, and sure I can figure it out but was looking for perhaps some advice and see how others have accomplished this.

Other neighbors have done it, but fortunately their decks are on ground level so its alot easier to add support on the extension. My deck is off on the 2nd floor, and Im not too sure how I can support the extension ...

Again, any tips/guidance would be great. Thank you in advance for your help and assistance.

P.S. I did a search on the forums, and couldnt find anything.. but if there is something, please link me. Thanks .

Have a great week everyone !

How far out does your existing deck project, and how is it supported?
