I have a snapper riding lawn mower that somebody give me for some other work i did for him it's a tecumseh not sure of hp either 8 or 11 the model #tvm195 150128j ser3249 as best as i can read on it but the mower has no fire changed the coil made sure the points were gaped right .020 i checked the compression on it it had 90 pounds not sure if that's enough i did not change the points and condencer on it so the could be the problem does the motor have enough compression?? maybe somebody can me some other things to try. thanks.......

Hello Sniper!

Sounds like you have plenty of compression. Change the points & condenser and you'll probably be ok. Check the kill wire to be sure it's not grounded.
