Is it true that on Trane Variable Speed Air Handlers and Variable Speed Furnaces that you only get the benefit of the Comfort R blower feature with the fan on setting?

See statement below taken from FAQ on Trane's website.
Thanks for your reply.

Trane's variable-speed air handler has Comfort-R Enhanced mode, like our variable-speed gas furnace, allowing the coil to cool down quickly and the blower to slowly ramp up and ramp down or to operate at 50 percent of the cooling air speed in the FAN ON position. This provides greater humidity control, quieter operation, maximum air circulation, temperature distribution, and air filtration for greater control of your home's indoor environment.

Yes, That's one of the thing you get. On gas furnaces, you get two stage heating, and heat pump, the blower will run a right cfm for how big the outdoor unit is. So, another word, you get a better control for fan speed than a regular blower that is fixed one speed for heating, and another speed for cooling.

I have it in my home and love every bit of it. It's quiet! Only time I really hear it if it's running in 2nd stage heating, (Blower runs faster).

Otherwise, I run it 24/7 to keep the air temp in the home even in all rooms.. Temp in all the room in main floor, and basement is -/+1 degrees.

Also w/ vairable speed, it use less power to run the fan. Before I never ran the fan all times w/ the old furnace cuz I know it cost me about $40 more a month. Now I run it, and the power stays the same.
