I have a Maytag gas range, model MGR5770. The oven won't stay lit. When we turn the oven on, it usually lights (sometimes slowly). However, it goes off after a few minutes or the flame is low. The top burners seem to work fine. The igniter in the oven glows bright orange/red.

In suggestions on what the problem is?

Certainly sounds like a weak igniter. Are you able to take amp reads. If not you may want to just replace the igniter
