I have a very unusual question pertaining to toilets. No water is coming into the tank and the water is turned on. You can hear it like it is going in there but no water. What could it be

Sounds like a fill-valve problem. You can buy a FluidMaster 400A valve at most home Improvement centers for about $6. The instuctions are great and vey simple. Good luck.
