Hi-this is my first post anywhere so if I commit a horrific posting foul I apologize in advance. I am finishing up a complete bathroom renovation which would have been impossible if not for this forum as I have no experience-you guys rock.Question: in test fitting my pedastal sink I discover that sink is slightly out of level (as it sits on pedastal) due to uneven tile floor or imperfections in casting of sink/pedastal or both. Obviously I can mount sink level into wall with supplied lag bolt but that would compromise support of pedastal. There should be something I can use on top of pedastal to even this out(we are talking less than 1/4/ inch-maybe silicone caulk or those plastic toilet shims or even wood shims(dry location unless something goes horribly wrong) or a combination? I await an answer from the DIY masters.....

gws, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
If at all possible, I would try to place the shims under the pedestal base to level it and add support for the sink and then grout or silicone around the base. Good luck.
