I wrote awhile ago re: caulk that wouldn't dry. I believe part of the problem is that the fiberglass shower/tub wall is loose (one section of it is really only attached at the the sides & top). I'm thinking that the wall moving around is causing the caulk not to set. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions re: reattaching the fiberglass? It looks like I should be able to just remove that one section & then reattach it but I didn't know if that would be a bad idea...

I would appreciate any suggestions!

You can try this task, but be sure that when you remove the panel that you do not break any of the mounting tabs that interlock to the back wall.

Only use 100% silicone when caulking between fiberglass panels. Latex caulk will not bond if it is in contact with any moisture during cure time.

Thank you for the advice!

I have yet to make any repairs b/c I'm certain I'm just going to screw things up. However, I was thinking of just removing the fiberglass & replacing it with tile. I was wondering how complicated (& expensive) that would be & if anyone has any advice re: whether a person w/ no experience should attempt such a task.

Thanks!
