hi...
i have to install a *new* toilet / shower waste line. the bathroom is on the first floor, in the middle of the house.
the way the house is situated, i was planning on running around the perimeter of the foundation in the basement with the main waste drain, rather than down the center of the basement.
my question(s):
is that ridiculous, to go around the basement, rather than straight down the middle?
and
is there a maximum run???
and i am aware of the slope that will have to be used.
thanks,

No. You can run that line as far as you need to. Same would apply for underground piping.
