I'm installing a tile floor, should the toilet flange set on top of the tile. :alarm:

It's not necessary that the flange set on top of the tile. Ideally, flush with the finished floor, but they make extender wax rings and bolts to take up a little extra space, even if it's a little bit (1/8"-1/2") below the finished floor.

They also make extender rings that have an adhesive to seal them and are different thicknesses. You screw through the holes that are in your present flange to hold them in place.
