I have a window Fedders a/c unit which is about 6 years old. It works fine. However, the filter units have torn. Is there any way to repair them or should I just trash the a/c? Thanks.

You can get cut to fit filters of aluminum for the window AC they are washable. This can give you another year or so on the old dog.

Home depot and Lowes have them .Any hvac company should have them.

You can get replacement filters at home centers like Home Depot, or hardware store. Most of them are cut to size filters. If you want excat of what you have now, then contact the company themself to order one.
