Hi,
I have an alarm system in my house. The power supply went south on me, its one that plugs into the wall and has 2 screws to attach the wires to it. I bought a new power supply it has 3 screws to attach wires to it... the middle says GND... how do I determine which wire should go to where? Would I be safe to ignore the middle screw and attach the wires the same way the old one had it, using the 2 outside screws??

Yes, for your purpose, the earth ground terminal can be ignored.
