Painting - ugly bathroom counters--epoxy paint??

I have 1970 house with solid material -faux marble- bathroom counter tops.
They are very yellowed stained and crazed...No money for new...can I paint them????? 2-part epoxy paint maybe??

I did that in my bathroom. I sanded the entire surface really well. I then primed the surface, painted it with enamel paint. I put several coats of the paint. I then used a Urathane sealer on top of that. I did not use the countertop for about 2 weeks to allow it to cure. It looks great and I have had no trouble with the surface peeling.

Yes, it can be painted, and 2 part epoxy would be the best product to use for durability/strength.
