I have a shower in the corner of my basement. I have painted the cement block with latex exterior house paint but it is peeling off. What type of paint is recommended for this kind of wet environment?

A two-part epoxy would work best for this application.

PWG is right epoxy would be best. If not epoxy at least use a good latex enamel.

I failed to mention that the walls were painted before the shower existed. I painted over with brand name latex exterior trim paint, but I suppose the adhesion is only as good as the first coat whatever that was and I have no idea what was used.

I suppose no matter what I do now, I will be dealing with peeling paint until all the base coat comes off.
