I have some high quality fabric verticle blinds that have no use to me unless I can change the color. I want to paint them with some wall paint I have. I painted a small sample piece and it looks fine but it is hard to cover and takes a lot of paint. Can I mix the paint with something to make it go on easier and cover more? Any other comments?

Since fabric is not really a paintable surface, hopefully someone in the blinds section has a better answer. If I had to paint them I would spray multiple thin coats and try to color the material without applying a heavy coat of paint.

Sell them at your next garage sale and buy some new ones the right color!

if you actually got your sample piece to look acceptable to you, keep doing what you're doing.
