We are currently remodeling our bathroom and we have come to the last part. Installing the new toilet. We removed the original toilet (1939) and are replacing it with a new Kohler. We are having a lot of problems trying to find a flange that will fit our soil pipe. Most places only have 3" and 4" flanges. :wall: our cast iron soil pipe is around 3 1/4" or somewhere in there. Are we going to have to replace our entire soil pipe? Is there a convertor to fit a new flange to an older soil pipe? We are really starting to panic as we have already laid the flooring. HELP!!!

They make an inside pipe closet flange that might meet those dimensions, but they are PVC and you would have to make this waterproof to the cast iron piping you are describing.
Sometimes removing the piping and starting with PVC piping is the best solution, guarantees that you do not deal with this down the road.
