We painted over an oil based paint in our bathroom 3 years ago. We used a "de-glossing" perparation on the walls before painting with a latex semi-gloss paint. Now, the latex paint is cracking and peeling. Can I strip the paint off or sand it down? Or do I need to put up new drywall? Please help!

Did you use a bonding type primer first? Removing the peeling paint would probably be easier than re sheetrocking.

We did not use a primer first. Any product suggestions to get the old paint off? The wall behind is plaster.

I would scrape and sand. Anything that doesn't come off is most likely well bonded. Then prime with kilz [or similar primer]. You will likely need to skim coat the walls with drywall mud. If so get the walls looking good, reprime and then you are ready for paint. :)
