We are about to remodel our guest bathroom and our home is 29 years old. The tub, tile and toilet are all a pretty pale yellow color. We have found a pedestal lavoratory we like and have requested a chip of the yellow color from that vendor. If the yellows don't match, we will need to go with a white sink (the one we have now has a marbled effect and has a vanity attached). If we need to go with a white sink, I need some advice on what to do with the rest of the bathroom; i.e., should we take out the yellow toilet and replace it with a white one? Should we paint the tub white, have the sink and toilet white but the tile remaining as yellow? I like the yellow color and thought maybe I could find a wallpaper with a small print of maybe palm trees or something to try and tie the yellow and white together, but don't know what to do about the toilet and tub. After 29 years, I really doubt the yellow colors are going to match. I realize you are not seeing our bathroom, but any advise you can give from my description would be most appreciated. Thank you. Dottie :)

Since color coded plumbing fixtures are costly, I would invest in white fixtures, but accent them with either a yellow seat for the toilet and maybe a yellow tissue holder on the tank. As for the pedestal, buy toiletries like a soap dispensor or a yellow toothbrush cup, yellow towels hanging next to the sink.
Or, you could have an artist paint yellow designs on the white fixtures.
