I have a screen room which is made of wood. The wood has not been painted in many years. Certain areas have peeling paint, chipping paint etc... ZWhat do i need to do to prep the wood parts of the screen room to paint it. Do i sand these areas? What is best type of paint to use?

Depends on the type of wood and what sort of look you want. Solid color Latex stain or oil stain would work well. Or exterior latex primer and exterior latex house paint would also work well.
Scraping and possibly sanding some of the rough areas might be in order.

You need to scrape all the loose paint. Sanding isn't neccessary but may make it look better. Use oil or latex primer, then finish with 1 or 2 top coats of latex.
