We are tearing down our tile and replacing our tubs I have found four tubs i like but need some help.
One is a Americast, one is a Fiberglass(aquaglass) One is a kohler Performa Vikrell which i guess is a plastic, and the other would be another steel one which is what we are replacing.
Can you give me your recommendations.
Also the tile in the master bath will be white but the vanity top and toilet are bone shoud the tub also be bone? Seems much easier to find it in white just wondering everybodys thoughts

A lot of the problems with fiberglas tubs is the installation. They usually recommend a mortar bed under them to keep it from moving. The tubs are not strong enough to support weight on their own so you have to provide this support with mortar. We do not bash products or manufacturers her at DIY however my recommendation, based on problems I have read here in the Forums would not include Americast. Good luck with your project.
