I've recently redecorated my master bedroom with a faux log cabin wall, rafters, and a faux skylight. I thought I would be re-purposing some old slatted doors to make shutters for the windows, but they're the wrong size. I need ideas for some other window treatment that will go along with the log cabin look.

curtains hung from a tree branch or an old oar or something similar. use a tab-top style or ties to secure it to the "rod".

or mount a strip of pegs above the window & tie the tabs to the pegs.

and select a fabric that is either tea-stained or patchworked or striped ticking or something appropriately old & rustic looking. maybe even an old potatoe sack?
