I've purchased 1x4 primed tongue-and-groove douglas fir porch flooring for my new front porch. Should I face nail, or nail into the tongues (hidden)? It'll be painted, so I don't mind seeing the nail heads. Any reason for or against one or the other? Last question--what type of nails should I use--ringh shank? Stainless steel?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,
