I have an old gas range that needs the oven insulation replaced. Can I use regular fiberglass insulation (without the paper backing, of course) or is there special insulation needed for a stove?)
If I can use regular insulation, does the R-Factor matter?

Hello: Dalangdon
Insulation is insulation far as I know. R rating should not be a major consideration. Use the same thickness, cut to fit and all install as existing insulation is installed. I'm sure there is a science to it but not that critcal best as I recall.
