Hi again, and thanks so much for the advice on the paint brands. I think we will def. go with the BM paint as it seems to be the winner hands down.
Another few questions for you guys:
We just bought an old Victorian, and are scraping down wallpaper to paint the walls (which are the old horsehair plaster walls). We have had some issues with holes breaking in the plaster as we go (actually it looks almost like a layer of thick paper coming off, with crumbly white stuff behind it) even though we have been very careful. My question is whether anyone knows the best way to repair this before painting? Also, if you don't mind my naivete, would anyone be able to tell me the best method(s) to prep a wall that has had wallpaper on it for painting?
We are also trying to remove lead paint from the woodwork on the windows and doorframes and starcases. We have ordered some magical "goo" that
supposedly neutralizes the lead and scrapes off. Has anyone had any experience with these kinds of issues or is this for another board?
Thanks a million!

Be careful with the lead. The only way i know to neutralize lead is to encapsulate it before it becomes airborn.
I would suggest a product called peel-away. Spread it on and let it work (follow label directions).
