I recently purchased light fixtures I am ready to install. It appears that the wire is shiny silver and not copper. Or is the wire actually copper and tinned of sorts. Do I need special wire nuts to connect the two if it is aluminum wire. I have also seen the same type of aluminum looking wire on dimmer switches (Leviton) That you buy @ home improvement stores etc..

If the fixture is new the wires is tinned copper.
