After walking out to the car this morning I found that it had been broken into.I have a motion sensor light set up in front of it and also another unit set up just around the other corner of the house. The unit around the side works great going off and on all night but the unit in front of my car stays on 24/7. I've made adjustments to it all morning, (as well as shutting off all power in hopes that it will reset) and can not get it to go off. Being as the hubby is out of town working my question is Would the fact that both units are running off the same switch (light switch) in garage have something to do with one working great and the other staying on fulltime? Any info would be greatly appreciated.P.S. the front one did work for some time when we first installed it. :wall: :( :o

Sorry about your car.
Many of these lights have directions that tell you that you cannot put more than one on a switch. The reason is that the lights have special controls that are activated by particular flipping patterns of the switch. For example, it is common to set the light into always-on mode by rapidly flipping the switch on-off-on. The fixtures get confused by each other when there are more than one.
Check your fixture instructions. Then play with the light switch.

Thanks for the info.Italked to hubby on the phone and he said he hard wired both into the light swictch wiring before it got to the switch. The instructions have been thrown out and I tried to find the make on the light themselves to no avail.I guess I'll be up there again today to try and see a make. Thanks again for your help.

I have multiple motion sensor lights on the same switched circuit without any problems. Most all of them have the same "switch flipping" protocall. A quick on/off turns the light on all the time and leaving it off for a long time resets it. The big thing I have noticed is that cheap motion sensor lights are useless. Cheap motion sensor lights seem to turn on every time the wind blows but never turn on when you are jumping up and down in front of them. I have had much better results with higher quality fixtures.
