My husband and I have a very nice black leather sectional couch, but we'd like to replace the glass/metal very contemporary coffee table with a more traditional look...to create a warmer feel. Would a dark all wood coffee table/end tables look good? Could we get away with that? Any suggestions???

sure you could - think gentlemen's club or rich private library. depending on the scale of your sofa, you'll need to coordinate that with the tables. if the sofa is really chunky, the tables will need to be pretty beefy too, not spindly like Queen Anne. you could go Mission style (like Stickley) easily. it's nice & sturdy looking & usually in a pretty dark wood - either oak or cherry. but very casual. or anything with ironwork accents would be nice. pair all this up with some substantial fabrics like tapestries or chenille in rich colors and you'll create a very warm room.
