I am planning on hiring someone to paint the exterior of my house. At the moment I am looking at 2 different contractors and one uses a sprayer and the other rolls the paint.
My question is which is better spraying or rolling?

hi
we had spray done here and all the windos car and sidewalk and poch where cover from the mist.
If spray ask the painter if he cleans all after he finishes and get it in writting.
cheers

It all depends on the job. Rolling will work the paint into the surface better. Spraying usually offers better coverage. Either one can be done neatly or messy. I've sprayed a number of exteriors and never left unwanted overspray. Since painting can be done with spray, roller or brush a wise painter knows which is best for particular job. It is always best to get referances before letting someone work on your house. :)
