can any one help me out on how to replace the cord on my aluminum roll-up awning? do i take the springs off? do I need a prfessional.Help

Buy some Nylon Utility cord 1/8" x 50 Feet. Slide out old cord thru opening in
hub. Tie knot in end of new cord and slide it in. We did it with no experience.
