Hi,

I would like too know if the calculation manual D manual J is the same for a thermopompe . because I was told for heat bigger is better how do you choose
the right combination.

I have a thermopompe r410a 2.5t and a attic furnace with 8 x 6’’ flexible duct
For a bungalow 1200 sqf when I purchased the unit I didn’t know the manual d
Or manual j calculation at the time.

I have 1 outlet on the plenum that is block off (not use) should I install a second flexible pipe in the basement.? How many do you suppose too have in the basement?

2.5 tons would require 1000 cfm of air flowing. In order to flow that much air you would need 10-12 six inch supply leads & at least as much return. There are all kinds of variations to obtain any given air flow requirement. 10-12 sixes is just one.

i have one return air in the center of the house with a 16'' flex pipe isolated and a 18''x24''x4'' air filter.

i hear the air coming out of the diffuser and the return air is noisy i put my blower in low speed.

wath can i do to reduce air flow? the house is confortable is my system okay but need more outlet?

If I understand the original post correctly, you only have 8-6" flex supplies. If that is truly the case, it's a wonder the thing doesn't freeze constantly. I usually figure 85 cfm for a 6" flex run. If you get some more leads off of the air handler, your noise should be reduced.

If you have some place you can dump about 200 cfm (2-6" flex) do so. It should help.
