Hi all. Looking to use the new Trex Brasilia on a deck that is being planned right now. I have the instruction manual for the product and they claim a 20' radius can be achieved without heating. Has anyone out there actually done curves without the heating method they descibe? (Trex in building tubes, on rebar, with heaters/fans to raise their temperature)
I would like to do a straight deck with one or two curves cut into it...i really like the intricate design that they show on the site.

not sure on flexibility for going around corners, but with trex's less than stiff deck boards, it's not a surprise than it can bend around corners since the regular product bends when you walk on it.

i've had a hard time finding any hard specifications on their "new" product. like the brochures for accents, they tend to hide the specs behind words like "minimum water absorption" unfortunately, the specs for accents are now on their web site and guess what? the "new and improved" trex accents has exactly the same specifications as the old trex, same potential mold problems and same less-than-strong decking.

so far, there is nothing on the web site showing specs on brazilia. i wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't the same old stuff, formed and colored into a different product and hyped by marketing.

And I just called Meek's earlier today -- probably the largest single retail supplier of Trex in No. CA -- they have never heard of it. Guess we'll just have to wait for the "coats" from Trex to clue us in.
