I need to cut some extruded polystyrene insulation boards and was wondering what's the best method to cut it? i'm afraid using a utility knife will not give me a straight square edge, while using a saw might rip the edge of the insulation? any ideas? should i use the table saw with a thin blade for wood finishing work?

thanks,
kevin

When I installed Owens Corning Foamular insulation board under my slab, I used a handsaw to cut the foamboard. I marked a cutting line on the board and cut along it. It was easy to make a straight cut.

Hope this helps.

I've had good luck with my table say and fine tooth blade.
