What you are asking for is basically a CAD program, and you won't find a free one on-line. Go to a local lumber yard -- most of them will provide the service at no charge. You might even try a big box store -- HD, Lowe's, Meynards, etc.

try going to a "real" lumberyard. you'll know it's a real yard when you see nothing but contractor trucks out front early in the morning. yes, some contractors (generally remoderlers) go to the box stores, but people who build whole houses aren't likely to to there.

I'm not sure if you are looking to build the deck yourself or have it done. If you are having it done, by all means leave the designing, configuring to the builder.

If you do go to a lumber yard and you do get a design, advice, list of materials, etc, at least have the decency to buy the materials at that yard.

POST EDITED: Derogatory remarks, comments, claims and or statements, etc. in reference to and or about products, parts and or services rendered by manufacturers, companies, dealers, agents, service personal and or representatives will not be tolerated nor allowed.

In my area, both Menards and Home Depot have deck design centers in the store where you can use their software to design your deck and get a print out of materials and cost.

lowes.com has a deck design program. it is easy to use and is pretty thorough. You still have to register but it's free and only takes a couple minutes. I recently used it and was pretty happy with the results.
