I live in a townhouse and my deck is on the second floor. We would like to sit downstairs, under the deck on our swing but if it is raining we get wet. Any suggestions for putting something up underneath to catch the rain and let it drain off one end? I saw some stuff in Lowe's, but for the size of my deck it would cost $800. I have better things to do with $800
Thanks

The systems that you are looking for are Under Deck, Dry Below, and several others. But if what Lowe's has is going to cost $800 and that's too much, don't put a lot of time into looking. The price isn't gonna come down!

like the guy above said, if you can't afford the stuff at lowes you're not going to find anything lower except maybe an umbrella.

A friend in a similar situation installed metal roofing - basically used it as a ceiling under the deck instead of a roof. Home centers have either metal or fiberglass panels. You would have to fashion a frame that provides a pitch.
