I'd like to install 2 light wall sconces (Sp?) in my living room.
Above the living room is attic.
What is the best way to install?? make holes in wall where fixture will go and snake wire up to attic.?? Also- I want to tie into a switch on other side of room that now controls an outlet . What is the easiest way to do?

The easiest way depends on how the room is layed out, the attic space above, the available power and where it is located.
In your case it sounds like the easiest would be to run a cable from the existing switch to fixture one then to fixture two. This will allow you to control both lights from the one switch. It will require some wire changes at the receptacle to make it not switched anymore.
