Is there any code violation, or any other problems with placing insulation (fiberglass) over romex that is running through the walls?

If so, what's the preferred way to insulate around the wire?

Romex and insul. get along just fine, no code problems either. What I do

to sort of encapsulate the romex which is usually about centered in the

wall framing, is carefully slit the insul. batt about 1/2 way through, then

push the romex into the cut.

That's a good tip.

Thanks Michiganguy ;)
