can someone please help?
i have a vista 20p and a 6270 keypad. now i have been reading and see that if you exit the programming with a *98 that you just hold the * and # keys at the same time at power up and you can get back in. well how do i do that if i have the touch screen 6270 key pad. it will only accept one push on a button at a time.
thanks for any help

Ahhh...hmmmm....

My gut reflex is that you might have to temporarily hook up a mechanical keypad to the system (in addition to your 6270) in order to get back in. One of the people who works on Ademco family hardware more than I do might have a better answer.

Why not just exit with *99? That's what I've been doing with mine (I have the same setup). *98 is useful for the ADT or Brinks installer but if it's your gear then who are you trying to protect it from?

Ahhh. :o I didn't get that from the initial question. I thought you were just asking a "what if" scenario. Good luck with it!

if you exit by 99 you would be able to go back if you press your ic+800 ,and always in the 6270 you could use the console mode which is going to function as a regular keypad.talking about myself,i keep an alpha with me all the time and as soon as i get to the panel i hook it up to it directly.
