Does anyone have ideas on preventing the Pink Panther paper backed roll in kind of insulation from itching the crap out of you. Any cremes, sathe? Long sleeves and gloves aren't doing it.

One tip I've heard for removing the glass from your skin is to rub pure silk gently over your skin.

Anybody else ever heard this and can confirm that it does work?

Panty hose will do the same thing and much cheaper.

Here is a cheap way. Buy rubber gloves and duct tape the ends to your shirt. Wear long sleeves and pants and a hat goggles and a mask. Then when you are done...shower with vinegar as a rinse.

works

This will sound really stupid, but sugar & dish soap will do the trick. I worked in a boat repair shop for about 5 years & this was what everyone done to get the itch out. And the good old pink stuff pales in compersion to what you will encounter in a glass shop like this.
Just get a small amount of sugar mabey 1/8 cup in one hand, some dish soap & little water & start scrubbing. It's not the greatest feeling of the graney sugar, but rub it into a good lather, untill most of the sugar has disolved than rinse off. Don't use hot water either you'll imbed the glass farther into your skin.
I don't have a clue as to why this works but it really dose a good job of helping to get the itch out.

Dust yourself down with baby powder before you start and when you are finished take a cold shower. A hot shower would open the pores on your skin and make it harder to get the stuff off.

Could be worse, you could be installing rock wool instead.

Make sure baby powder does not have talc in it as this could lead to health issues worse than itching skin. I believe it's bad for your lungs.
