I believe I will need a 24 inch downrod to install a ceiling fan (Hunter) on a sloped ceiling. The box is prewired for fan and light with separate switches. Will I have to buy extra wire to traverse the downrod?

Most fans have enough wire for the most common lengths of downrods. You should not need to extend it.

Thanks! I haven't put up a ceiling fan for many years.
