I am ready to install the insulation for my basement remodel. Should I use insulation with a Kraft face? One side or both? Which side to place against the cement wall? I plan on using platic over it, good idea? Any other dos or don's I should know about insulation installation?
Thanks
Thanks

I like to hang a 6 mil poly on the cement wall down from the sill plate put the 2X4 stud wall up and R13 in it . With the paper side to the room. A 4 mil poly over that then the drywall. Dont forget to put aR19 insulation in each joist space up there on the sill plate all around the home

Ed,
Thanks for the response. As a follow-up, it is too late to put the plastic against the wall as I have already framed. My bad. But, should the insulation have Kraft paper on both sides or just one? Also, should I insulate above the ceiling where the floor joist are?

No. Paper just on one side paper to the room side staple it inside the studs so you dont have any bumps in the drywall. Hang a 4 mil poly over the whole stud wall then. If you could are have room you could hang it on the cement wall there
