You should tell your code department how far the horizontial run of the new vent will be from the current vent. You will also need to know how long - tall- high - the current vent is. You can guessimate the height as long as it is close.
There is a percentage thing done with venting...so much horizontial to the vertical height and then any elbows will also be considered.
Good luck, don't burn yourself when moving the stuff around. If you have to cut the pipe, wear eye protection and the edges are extremely sharp and do not care if they cut you.
