Ac Duct Condinsation

I posted few months back about condinsation in my ducts, I took advice from the answers I got from this site and It worked. I pluged up all my returns and all my supplys. It seemed like I was still getting a little , But had ac specialist come over and he recomended that I open up Side of Air Handler to see if It would dry out It did in few days. He and other coligues assumed the water was left over moisture traped inside dusts. I got two solutions to this problem.

1 - I curently have Carrier seer 12 Air Handler and Condenser, Acording to my Blower inside Air habdler it has HI,MEDIUM and LOW SPEEDS. Curently on Med. During winter Months Switch to LOW speed and KEEP fan running to allow constant air flow? would this work?

2 - after every seasion simply plug all Returns and Supplys and Leave it.
This contractor also said I Could Intalls UV light and Aprilaire 5000 electronic air Cleaner. I like the Idea about this I have Alergies it seems like it would realy clean the air. What should the cost be to install This and UV light into my exsisting system.

Please advise Option 1 or 2 which would solve my moisture problems?

I take it you have hot water heat here and a AC with duct in the attic for summer.

#1 Id plug the registers and returns each year. Have had registers that close real tight but will still let the warm moist air up into them. Fill a plastic shopping bag with some insulation and put this in the pipe behind the registers. Fan on low would work but you would feel like it just blowes cold air and you would shut it off.

Yes the UV lights will help and work for you. That EAC filter forget it for sure they do work but people dont keep them clean as they should, say just to much work. We take out more of them than we put in. Look at a good pleated filter check out the AIR BEAR and purolator has them in 1"2" 5" thick or look for a MERV #up to about a #5 on the filters. Dont do the EAC kind.
