NEW CURTAINS! What do you think?

Annette... I took your suggestions on rearranging & the smaller wood rods and then bought the Wendy tab-top drapes. I'd actually looked at the Waverly drapery's first but the price was quite higher and they came 1 panel to a pkg. These came TWO to a pkg! Much cheaper- hopefully I will not be dissapointed. I have an extra drape to make pillows!

The ONLY short decorater rods I could find ANYWHERE were JC Penney & they were almost $30 a rod! I decided to search on ebay where I found some simple unfinished finials with matching brackets. I bought 4 sets of each for less than $20!! Then I bought some large wood dowels to fit & stained/shellacked them! Dh hung them up for me & there they are! I'm waiting on the other 3 rod/bracket sets before I can put them on the other windows at the end of the room but I LOVE the look! What do YOU think???? I do have to hem them yet & will do that this week.

Wow, that turned out fantastic! Its amazing, too. The room looks so much larger with the curtains, and cozier in the process!

wow! they really do look great! i love the plaid!!! it appears to be a perfect match with the paint! very cute! :thumbup:

can you take a closer-up pic of the rods & tab tops? i want to see the finials!

now - to nitpick: can the rods expand out just a little further? they might be a tad too skinny. maybe bring them out about 3" more on each side - and put a tab on each end - between the finial and the bracket - it'll help hide the bracket. does that make sense? it'll be like this:

finial....tab.....bracket....tab tab tab tab.....bracket...tab..finial.
