Hi...Just a quick question. I'm want to install laminate flooring on my landing, or midway point between a staircase. I know that on stairs, laminates are always glued, but for something this size, I'm unsure...It measures approximately 70 X 24 inches. I hate to do one thing, and have it buckle or something, so I wanted to ask here...Glue, or Float this portion of the floor. Thanks!

Individual manufacturers of laminate tend to have very specific instructions for the installation of their products. If you are doing a landing, you will need a stairnose. You will also need to allow the recommended expansion gap. If you have a landing and using floating floor, then the landing should be floated as instructed. Most manufacturers have a website with installation and warranties posted.

Thanks, 12...I do have the stairnose, and the plastic strip to attach, so I don't foresee any problems. The instructions provide specific gluing instructions for stairs, but as this landing is only slightly larger than a stair, I just wanted to confirm what to do...Thanks again!
