A very basic (spelled "dumb"?) question, but what are the recommended steps in re-painting a room. Everything now has fresh primer on it. We assume the ceiling is to be painted first. Then, is it Walls before Woodwork? Or vice versa? :confused:

We do ceilings first, then woodwork (minus the baseboard), then walls, then last of all the baseboard.

We painted the ceiling, then walls, then trim...it worked, but it probably doesn't matter....

Painting the trim [except base] is usually the easiest way to go especially if the trim is a different color than the walls.

Ceiling, walls, then trim. You won't have to tape the walls when you paint the trim. Typically trim has a glossy surface so when you remove any painting tape it won't peel up any paint, especially a problem if the surface has been freshly painted.
